About Us

adVenire Consulting is a specialist learning and development consultancy founded by two senior professionals with deep expertise in financial markets, investment management, treasury, corporate governance, and higher education.

We design programmes that are practical, tailored, and built for lasting impact. Helping organisations build real capability across their people. Our work serves corporate clients, financial services firms, retirement funds, and the CFOs and senior leaders who guide them.

Our Approach

We believe that real understanding comes not from instruction alone, but from inquiry. Our programmes are built around an inquiry-based methodology, one that challenges participants to question assumptions, examine competing perspectives, and develop the judgement to apply knowledge in real-world contexts.

The result is not just learning retained, but thinking sharpened. Participants leave equipped not only with knowledge, but with the confidence to act on it.

Trustee Education

Interactive governance, investment, risk, and ESG programmes empowering retirement fund boards to make confident, informed decisions.

Financial Literacy

Practical financial and debt literacy solutions that build long-term financial confidence and resilience for individuals and organisations.

Treasury & Governance

Build an applied understanding of treasury across the full spectrum, from corporate to bank treasury, and develop the judgement to navigate governance obligations across the financial services sector with confidence in a complex and evolving regulatory environment.

Depth Of Expertise

Treasury & Financial Risk

Effective treasury education requires more than familiarity with instruments and markets. It demands an understanding of how treasury operates across the institution from dealing and exposure management through to policy design, operational controls, and governance accountability. That includes the cross-border complexity of operating across African markets, the regulatory expectations of SARB Exchange Control, and the audit and risk dimensions that are often underdeveloped in practitioner training. Financial literacy, the ability to translate treasury risk concepts into genuine understanding for the boards, executives, and operational teams who carry responsibility for decisions they did not originate, sits alongside this.

Trustee Education & Retirement Fund Governance

Trustee education fails when it stops at compliance. The harder challenge, and arguably the more significant one, is building the investment and governance literacy that allows trustees to engage with real complexity: the specific obligations of defined contribution schemes, what responsible stewardship looks like in practice, and how to evaluate fund performance against outcomes that actually matter to members. Financial literacy is not a precursor to this work, rather it is woven through it. Understanding what questions to ask, and how to interpret the answers, is the capability that separates active and informed oversight from passive compliance.

Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Design

Both founders bring formal academic careers to their facilitation practice. That means the programmes adVenire designs are built on sound learning architecture with deliberate choices about sequencing, engagement, and the transfer of knowledge to practice. Whether delivered in person or online, synchronously or independently, the methodology is consistent. At its core is an inquiry-based approach and one that places questioning, analysis, and the examination of competing perspectives ahead of instruction. This is not a stylistic preference, it is a considered position on how adults develop the kind of judgement that holds up under real conditions. Participants leave not just informed but changed in how they think.
